Health/Safety
Vaccination records will be checked for services that may include socialization. For all other services all participants must agree that their dog is in good health and up to date on vaccinations before coming to our facility.
When signing up, you must explain on the intake form if your dog is reactive or aggressive as well as describing the behaviour and its circumstances. If the trainers have concerns, they may ask for the dog to attend a private behavioural lesson before attending group classes.
Yes, female dogs in season will be allowed to attend classes, but must be wearing diapers or panties at all times.
Training/Gear
Our training philosophy is called LIMA (Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive). LIMA requires that trainers/behaviour consultants work with companion animals and the humans who care for them to increase the use of positive reinforcement and lessen the use of punishment.
Use of these items will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. We understand that these tools are sometimes needed for management and safety while you and your dog transition to new training methods. However, for the safety of all our students, we strongly discourage the use of retractable leashes in group environments. Please email info@skybounddogs.ca if you need clarification.
Yes, family members and friends will be welcome to attend our classes up to a limit of 4 per registered dog. Children will be allowed to handle dogs in class with parental supervision. Children 14 years of age and older will be allowed to attend classes without parental supervision.

Bring a 6 foot leash and training treats. Oh, and don’t forget your dog. 😉
Classes last for 6 weeks unless otherwise specified.
There are only 5 designated parking stalls in front of our facility. If those are taken you’ll have to use street parking. Those attending Barn Hunt classes should park in the rear of the building and use the rear entrance.
Please make sure your dog has gone to the bathroom before attending our services. There will be a potty yard in the back of our building if the need arises while attending one of our services.
